As part of the Beaudesert Water Supply Augmentation Program, improvements are being made to the Beaudesert Water Treatment Plant, including the construction of 2 new storage reservoirs.
Vaughan Infrastructure was engaged for the construction a new water booster pump station and installation of new pressure reducing valves (PRVs).
Scope of works included:
Construction of a water booster pump station at WPS062, housing 3 new 220l/s pumps and a flow meter.
Integrated 2 new tees into the existing DN375mm trunk watermain to supply the booster pump station.
Developed a 90m DN375mm water main from the existing trunk into the pump station.
Established a fully enclosed, secured 10m x 6.5m water booster pump station building.
Connected the newly constructed pump station into the existing concrete driveway area for ongoing access and ease of maintenance.
Rehabilitated the existing area to blend in with the natural bushland setting.
