The EST08514 RAAF Richmond Electrical Replacement project consists of replacement and repair of nominated 11kV Substations, ring main units (RMU) and Low Voltage (LV) Switchboards, and emergency lighting and earthing upgrades. This scope is to be executed as construct only. The scope of works consists of, but is not limited to the following: 

• Demolition of existing Substation RMUs and transformers and providing new outdoor kiosk substations consisting of RMUs and LV distribution

• Terminating new High Voltage (HV) and LV cabling to existing. 

• Replacing LV main switchboards. 

• Providing new substation emergency lighting luminaires. 

• Providing new warning labels within substations, as required to multiple substations across the existing site. 

• Removal and make good of any redundant infrastructure associated with existing Substation RMUs and Transformers or other ancillary infrastructure being demolished. 

• Replacement of 11kV secondary network cables that are required to be terminated to new infrastructure directly connected to the 11kV secondary ring. 

• Finalisation of the 11kV secondary cable route.
