COMPLETION DATE:
The project involves a comprehensive fire safety upgrade at JFI Sydney Airport fuel tanks to deliver enhanced cooling, foam and fire water infrastructure.
Scope of Works
Scope 1 Cooling Water Upgrades - Upgrades to cooling water systems for Tanks 4, 5, 6 & 7 to support neighbouring-tank fire scenarios. Works include fabrication and installation of cooling water rings and associated supply pipework. All mechanical works are above ground at roof/perimeter level and are designed to avoid hot works on tank roofs/shells.
Scope 2 New Foam Water System - Design and construct a new F3 environmentally friendly foam water system. This will be commissioned before decommissioning the existing C6 system to ensure continuous firefighting capability throughout the works.
Scope 3 Fire Water Storage & Pumps - Construct a new 675 kL fire water storage tank as backup during maintenance or main tank failure. Includes installation of redundant fire water pumps (one diesel and one electric) in accordance with AS1940-2017, delivering the final compliant upgrade solution.
