As part of the major M1 Pacific Motorway Extension to Raymond Terrace, one of the country’s busiest transport corridors, this project is based on the Design and Construction (D&C) of 10km of a new 4 lane divided road. Vaughan Infrastructure has been engaged to construct and adjust multiple existing utilities to enable the main road works to continue.
The scope of works for the northern and southern packages includes:
Site investigation and verification for design alignment, inputs into design changes to mitigate program delays due to trenching in water charged ground.
Mass soil mixing, methodology and risk workshops regarding mass soil mixing and implementation of methodology and works.
Installation of 1,826m DN1200 MSCL Main including 160m inside a DN1500 GRP enveloper.
3 x connection points with piled thrust restraint.
Average depth of the trench is over 3m deep in water charged, Acid Sulphate soil, and unstable ground conditions.
Exhume and grout fill 1,550m of redundant main.
Supply and installation of 465m of DN150 PVC main with hydrants.
Supply and installation of 155m of DN200 PVC main including connections.
