COMPLETION DATE:

Vaughan Infrastructure was engaged by Zinfra to deliver TfNSW‑approved civil works for the construction of a new access way to maintain operational access to the Big Jim’s Point trail at Mount White. Works included tree removal and clearing, pre‑clearance environmental surveys, and the construction of approximately 86 metres of access track, incorporating bulk earthworks, formation, pavement layers and surface treatment in accordance with TfNSW standards and approved design documentation. The works were delivered within a road reserve and environmentally sensitive interface, requiring compliance with TfNSW, National Parks and REF decision statement requirements.

Vaughan managed traffic control, utility identification (BYDA), dilapidation reporting, survey, geotechnical and quality documentation, and coordinated works under Zinfra’s principal contractor arrangements. Health, safety and environmental management formed a core component of delivery, including strict adherence to WHS requirements, erosion and sediment controls, work authorisation systems, inductions, and controlled clearing processes. Unusual aspects of the project included restricted access conditions, multi‑stakeholder interfaces (Jemena, RFS, Ausgrid, Transgrid) and delivery within proximity to National Parks land, requiring disciplined planning and environmental controls.
