Vaughan Infrastructure were one of Acciona’s main contractors for the Sydney Light Rail development, successfully completing multiple major civil contracts across the project.
After completing the initial early works and investigation stage, Vaughan Infrastructure completed a large portion of stormwater on the project from the city to the suburbs. Our team also completed the installation of piles and pile caps for the smart pole installation across the project, in additional to the TCS works at key intersections. Following on from this, we completed bus pavement construction on Anzac Parade including pavement rebuilds during multiple 56 hour shut downs.
Scope of works included:
25+ traffic switches on arterial RMS.
Installation of 7.5km storm water up to DN900.
345 precast and 35 FRP pits.
65,00m3 of bulk earthworks.
540m2 of RMS ridged bus pavement to M209 specification.
9,125m2 of RMS pavement, flexible rebuild to RMS 209 specification.
175+ piles and pile caps works.
1.5km of TCS conduit installation and pits.
FRP of 175m of retaining wall.
8km kerb and gutter, including pram ramps, lay backs and driveways.
24,000m2 of footpath construction.
500m of fencing installation.
5 bus stops installation.
Signage and tactile installation.
CSR of 12km of route.
Installation of wayfinding signs.
Services installation including of electrical, water and comms.
Works staged over multiple 56-hour mid-week and weekend shutdowns.
